Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Gaylord is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Gaylord follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We visited Treetops with a group of 16 and really enjoyed the lodging and golf courses. Overall, it offered great bang for the buck and was an excellent destination for a group golf trip. The only drawbacks were the limited food options on the property and transportation to the North courses (surprised there are no shuttles), although downtown Gaylord is conveniently close and offers additional dining options. The staff was pleasant overall, aside from a couple of unnecessary remarks from the starters about our pace of play when we were only a few minutes behind pace. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend Treetops for a reasonably priced group golf trip.

We visited August 12th & 13th and stayed in the lodge. The rooms are large but dated. My and I went with another couple, both of the ladies commented that this place is definitely for dudes. The bed was decent, but could tell it has had a lot of use and was starting to break down. Check in and out was smooth. We played the Masterpiece on Wednesday. Love the course. Love the elevation changes. Was very disappointed with how rocky the bunkers were. Not something you'd expect from a resort of this caliber. Another issue throughout the course was how many tee boxes need to be rebuilt as they slop downhill. This was especially difficult for the ladies. We had a late dinner at the sports bar. It was very understaffed and was full as well as the deck when we were leaving. Some guests ended up turning around after not seeing any tables available. Food was decent. Thursday we played the Fazio Premier. Another favorite of mine. Bunkers still weren't great, but better than the Masterpiece. Had numerous issues with the cart system. Twice we were shut down on a cart path, worst was by by 12 tee. Please review this! We grabbed breakfast burritos and sandwiches before the r

Had a fantastic time here and will definitely be returning. Played Trad, easier course and very fun to play. Masters is HARD and the round took 5.5 hours but I hear that is not unusual on a Saturday. Jamie and Adam took great care of us at the bar; thanks guys! Can't wait to come back and bring some people we can tolerate after playing golf all day. Rooms were slightly dated but very clean and spacious. Food was good, pizza is fantastic.

Treetops delivered a wonderful experience for myself and my friends during our golf trip. The staff is amazing, and each day of our stay was great! As mentioned in other reviews, the rooms are a little dated, but they are clean and very spacious. The service is top notch from the bag drop, to the clubhouse, the starters, and the rangers. The hotel staff was also friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning!
